Biddeford Mills Museum and Lovell Design have created this first in a series of unique Christmas ornaments to celebrate the rich history of Biddeford-Saco and the Pepperell Mills. The Griffin, the trademark of Pepperell quality textiles and recognized worldwide, is shown on the ornament face. An etching, c. 1850, of Factory Island and York Manufacturing Co. as seen from the heights of Clifford Street in Biddeford is shown on the reverse side.
